Presentation: Understanding Multi-Dimensional Vulnerability and Risk in Older Adults by Alicea Ardito, MSW

Alicea Ardito, MSW, is a Therapist/Counselor with Northern Virginia Older Adult Counseling, working towards clinical licensure.  She has more than ten years of professional experience with older adults.  Her background includes working on a community mental health team serving older adults with severe mental illness, in a skilled nursing and long term care setting, with hospice, and as a geriatric care manager. 

She is passionate about educating others on how to identify vulnerable and at-risk older adults in the community.  Most recently, she has assisted in writing policy for a local non-profit to support the must vulnerable members, and she established a training program to educate their volunteers.
