Margie Comerford graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Communication Disorders, and received her Masters of Education from North Carolina Central University for Speech-Language Pathology. She has a Certification of Clinical Competence, is a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, and is a certified provider of LSVT Global LOUD, STAR certified for cancer rehabilitation, FEES certified and is a certified Vital Stim provider for dysphagia. Margie has been working in the field of speech-language pathology for sixteen years in the areas ranging from early intervention to adult rehabilitation, and specializes in voice rehabilitation and adult cognitive, speech and swallowing disorders. She has worked for Inova Health System for nearly fourteen years, more than ten at Inova Loudoun Hospital Outpatient Specialty Rehab Department. Margie leads the Communication Club at Inova Loudoun Hospital funded by the PFNCA and is a senior therapist.
