About Our Speaker

Nicole is a certified nutrition and senior nutrition specialist living in Northern Virginia with her husband, Patrick, and 2 crazy cats, Fred and Wilma. Nicole has made it her mission to bridge the gap between reactionary and preventative senior care.

She knows firsthand how important the caregiver is to the health and well-being of the senior.

Nicole lived through this with her grandmother and now with her grandfather in witnessing what her mom was and is going through as a nurse and caregiver. Nicole listened to accounts of how her grandmother was being fed and treated in the nursing home and the level of care she received. In the present, she sees her mom now dealing with health issues with her grandfather who lives in California, and her mom having to arrange care all the way from New Jersey. Her grandfather keeps falling, failing memory, and likely not eating enough and appropriately. Seeing her mom acting as the primary caregiver for both of her parents gave Nicole a glimpse of senior care and what caregivers often go through.

So, Nicole decided to put her education and knowledge to use to help caregivers and families better take care of their loved ones.

She wants to equip them with the knowledge and tools needed to ensure they eat appropriately, stay hydrated, and of course, minimize hospital visits! Let’s do this together and help our loved one's age more gracefully and healthily.
