Presentation: Dr. Pinky Khatri has provided unsurpassed hearing health care services for over 5 years. Respected by the medical community, and the patient she serves, Dr. Khatri is uniquely suited to help your hearing healthcare issues. Her professional experience includes working in a variety of settings including medical, school system and private practice. She has treated pediatric, adult and geriatric patients using latest hearing aid technology and assistive listening devices.

Dr. Khatri received her undergraduate degree from Sri Ramachandra Medical College in 2005 and received her Doctorate in Audiology from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in 2009.

She will be educating us on the effects of untreated hearing loss. One in Five Americans have hearing loss, Many are aware that their hearing has declined but are hesitant to seek help. They are often embarrassed by the weakness or feel like they can get by without using a hearing aid. Unfortunately, studies show that too many wait for years before taking their next step and seeking help.

Research demonstrates considerable effects of untreated hearing loss on social, psychological, cognitive function. Each can have extensive implications that go well beyond hearing alone. Aging also brings cognitive processing deficits that interfere with communication and can create distractions that lead to memory loss, falls and other accidents.
